The launch of the iPad 2 took the world by storm, again, and saw record sales, however there were a number of iPad 2 problems that followed the initial sales surge. There have been countless complaints about key problems with America’s favorite device, which have lead many buyers to consider the newly released Amazon Kindle Fire.
Backlight bleeding
One of the first of the iPad 2 problems is that the backlight bleeds. What this means is that the lighting behind the screen is actually creeping through around the edges. It usually doesn’t happen evenly, but can be bad in some spots and fine in others. It looks simply like a bright spot trying to shine through. This is a very annoying problem, especially when you are viewing dark images on the screen. Apple has not seemed to have fixed the problem yet. People who exchange their iPad 2 for another are finding that the replacement has the exact same iPad 2 problems.
Glass specs
Specs in the glass is another of the known iPad 2 problems. Several people have reported that their glass seems to have dust, or micro chips in the glass. This causes problems when light is reflecting on the surface, drawing the eye to the problem spot.
Wireless connectivity issues
Wireless connectivity is a growing concern for many people with the iPad 2, and can be added to the growing list of iPad 2 problems. They will be in their houses with full wireless from their router. It will be working fine for them, and then stop completely. There is nothing wrong with your network and this problem seems to be entirely with the iPad 2. It seems that the problem is that the iPad can’t work very well depending on what setting your router is on. Apple is aware of the problem and is telling customers that they are working hard to fix this and other iPad 2 problems for future releases.
Image discoloration
Yet another one of the iPad 2 problems that are reported, is discoloration of pictures taken with both the front and back cameras. It seems to apply crazy neon colors to spaces where there should be none of the sort. For example, in a picture of the interior of a house, the bright white walls were colored neon yellow. It seems to happen mostly in low light or high contrast situations.
iPad 2 problems conclusion
As you can see, there are a lot of issues with such a popular device. Anything that is mass produced by the thousands or hundreds of thousands is guaranteed to have problems. Maybe not with each device, but if one in a hundred has some sort of a glitch, you can do the math. When a brand new device such as the iPad 2 comes out, it is a smart idea not to buy it right away, but wait until they work out the glitches. With the iPad 2 problems we have just discussed, it doesn’t seem worth the hassle, and perhaps for some consumers the Kindle Fire might be a better choice.
